Lost and Found Ministry (Feeding the Homeless):
Every 2nd and 4th Saturdays of the month the Young Adults prepare a meal and go out to meet with and provide a meal to some of the homeless people who gather in downtown Tampa. We will meet at church office at 11:30 am, then we'll leave to go to the site at 1 pm to feed the good folks. Bring clothing items and personal hygiene products to donate. Meet and Greet
There is a social on the first Wednesday of every month. The first day of September is Wednesday, Sept 1st - so we look forward to seeing you at Lime 915 S Howard Ave at 6:30 in the private party room.

September Faith Discussion in 2 Parts on Wednesday, 7 pm on September 8th and September 15th in the St. Clare room (upstairs conference room) at Sacred Heart. We'll be watching Entertaining Angels: The Dorothy Day Story in 2 parts to leave time for discussion. The film, described by Brother Gerald as "the best Catholic film no one's ever seen or heard of", tells the story of Dorothy Day, a New York reporter who converted to Catholicism and founded the Catholic Workers Movement during the depression. Please go to the back of the church on Marion St, ring the doorbell and someone will let you in. Feel free to bring snacks to share. Contact Jennifer Pereise for more information.

Treats for Troops Volunteer Opportunity, Saturday, September 18th at 12:30 pm in the Parish Hall at Sacred Heart. Help stuff 100 one-gallon Ziploc bags with non-perishable goodies and hygiene products to send overseas as Christmas gifts. Please conribute your time, donate items, or give some pocket change for this cause. It's a great way to show the troops our appreciation. Brunch Fundraiser, Sunday, September 26th after 10:30 am mass in the parish hall at Sacred Heart. We will be cooking and serving brunch for Sacred Heart parish to raise money for the Fall Festival at Hope Children's Home in October. Tickets will be sold after 5:30 pm mass on Saturday, 10:30 am and noon mass on Sunday the weekend prior. The price is $7 for 1 ticket or $5 each for 2 or more two tickets. ReConnect Mini Retreat on Saturday, October 9th. This is a chance for past Connect Retreat participants and new/old members to gather for a day of spiritual enlightenment and social interaction. We're hoping to enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Franciscan Center for the day and ReConnect again. Contact Jen Versaggi for more information.

Fall Festival at Hope Children's Home, Saturday, October 16th from 11 am to 4 pm. Volunteer for a day of food, fun, and games at a local Christian orphanage. We will need at least 30 volunteers for the day, so be prepared to spend a day with a great group of kids. Contact Juliette Cassistre for more information.

Trip to Washington DC. Travel to Washington DC with fellow parishioners to attend mass at the Basilica and attend the Franciscan Mission Service 20th Anniversary Dinner on October 23rd at 7 pm. Rooftop Christmas Party, Sunday, December 12th after 6pm mass. Join us for our annual potluck holiday party on the roof of Sacred Heart (weather permitting). Enjoy the lights of downtown Tampa and bring your favorite holiday dish to share. Contact Jen Vista for more information.
