Franciscan Mission Service provides Catholic lay women and men the opportunity to serve and partner with poor and marginalized communities around the world while living in Franciscan communities. In 20 years FMS has trained, commissioned, supported over 110 women and men for mission in 19 different countries around the globe. Fr. George served his mission in Kenya with FMS and now serves on its Board of Directors.
The
20th Anniversary Benefit and Celebration will host
Fr. Richard Rohr, OFM – a nationally acclaimed author, inspirational speaker, and founder of both the New Jerusalem Community and the Center for Action and Contemplation. Fr. Richard’s most recent books include:
- Job & the Mystery of Suffering
- Things Hidden: Scripture as Spirituality
- The Naked Now: Learning to See as the Mystics See
Come spend an October weekend and enjoy some of the many sites in our nation's capitol, attend mass at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, and join in the fun with Fr.
