Where Are My Child’s First Communion or Confirmation Pictures?
We still have quite a few First Communion and Confirmation pictures that have not been picked up from the Parish Office. If you have been waiting for yours to be mailed to you, due to a bit of confusion with the photographer, they have instead been delivered to the Parish Office. You are encouraged to pick them up as soon as possible. You may pick them up after Mass today in the Sacristy or you may stop by the Parish Office and pick them up during normal business hours, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.

Sacred Heart Academy Open Registration Continues
The 2010-2011 School Year begins in just a few weeks at Sacred Heart Academy. Our school is located at 3515 N. Florida Ave., and is currently accepting applications for new students. We are very proud to offer classes for EC3-4, VPK and Kindergarten through 8th grade. Information about our school can be accessed either through the parish website at www.sacredheartfla.org or by calling the school office at (813) 229-0678 to arrange a tour of the campus or an interview with the Principal.

    Adult Bible Study
The Adult Bible Study group meets every Tuesday evening at 7 pm in the Parish Hall (entrance at the Corner of Twigg and Marion Streets). Tuesday we come together to study, discuss and share about the upcoming Sunday readings. We not only study God’s word as it is written, but also as it impacts our daily lives. The group is lively, information and there are always good snacks (…the brownies are particularly tempting). Come join us!! Bring your Bible, an open heart, and willingness to learn and pray God's Holy Word.

    Lay Pastoral Ministry Institute
Did you know that there is a program to help prepare you for ministry? We are very fortunate here at Sacred Heart to have a number of graduates of the Pastoral Institute who are significantly involved in our ministries. The Year of Discernment begins in September for those who are interested in receiving this formation for parish ministry leadership. The Institute is run by the Diocese of St. Petersburg and sessions are held at nearby Christ the King Parish one Saturday a month. For more information call the Lay Pastoral Ministry Office at 727-344-1611 or visit them online at the Lay Ministry Institute website.

Our Sacred Heart Book Club has selected The Red Tent by Anita Diamant as the next selection for discussion. The date and place of the next meeting is Thursday, September 23rd at 7 PM in St. Francis Hall which is located in the building behind the church.
