On January 21, 2009, Franciscan Life Campaign will begin.

This Campaign will parallel the efforts of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' (USCCB), to draw attention to and call for the non-acceptance of potential anti-life legislation called The Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA).

Become informed about the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA):
The FOCA legislation has been introduced in several of the past Congresses and some suggest it could be reintroduced and potentially passed in 2009. This is an invitation to people of faith to stop this potential harm and call attention to all the ways that life is threatened. We recognize this as an opportunity for people of faith to call out for all life, born and unborn, human and non-human.

The Franciscan Life Campaign
The campaign will include:

Prayer and spiritual reflection on Life
Resources and reflection on a Franciscan perspective on the consistent ethic of life
An opportunity to write your members of Congress encouraging them to support life and oppose the FOCA
Ways to invite others to stand for the fullness of life
