Pastoral Council
The Pastoral Council of Sacred Heart is a representative group of parishioners who, through consensus, serve as a consultative body to the Pastor. Finance Committee.
The Finance Council offers its technical expertise to the parish on fiscal matters including, but not limited to, financial systems and procedures, financial reports and financial budgets, plans, and forecasts. The committee of parishioners aids and advises the Pastor and the Business Manager concerning the administration of Parish funds and other assets within the limits of the Code of Canon Law and the directives of the Bishop. School Advisory Committee of Sacred Heart Academy.
The School Advisory Committee assists and advises the Principal of Sacred Heart Academy and the Pastor in implementing policies, regulations and long range plans of the Diocese of St. Petersburg. The Council assists in the development of an ongoing assessment of the school's performance within the context of the total education mission of the parish. Contact: SHA@sacredheartfla.org
Buildings & Grounds Committee.
This committee meets monthly to coordinate the care and maintenance of our buildings and grounds at Sacred Heart Church and Academy. Contact: Pat Harrigan lanepat@verizon.net
Liturgy Committee.
Coordinates the liturgical ministries, plans for upcoming celebrations, trains and educates in liturgical matters. Contact: Sean Fitzsimmons-Brown sfitzsimmons@sacredheartfla.org
Justice & Peace Committee.
This committee responds to issues of justice and peace and the integrity of life. Contact: Fr. Sean sobrien@sacredheartfla.org
Planning Committee.
As Tampa changes, so does our church. Planning is essential in our response to these changes. Contact: Lucia Garsys garsys@verizon.net
Stewardship & Welcoming
This committee advises the pastor as regards programs that touch on the use of one’s talents, time and treasure. They also plan and hold Welcome Gatherings throughout the year for new parishioners. Contact: Tim Arango arangot@aol.com |
