Ushers are one of the most visible Ministries in the Church. It is the Usher who is
charged with welcoming each person when they come to Mass on Sunday. It is also the duty
of the Usher to see to it that the congregation is seated properly as well as provide
assistance where needed. Ushers also are charged with collecting donations at the Offertory.
At communion, the Usher admits each row of communicants to the procession to receive the
Eucharist.
A group of Ushers is needed for each Mass that is celebrated at Sacred Heart. If you
