    Baptism
Baptisms are a wonderful opportunity for the Sacred Heart community to celebrate and welcome our newest members into the Body of Christ.  Our community celebrates Baptisms  as follows:

    • The 1st, 3rd and 4th Sundays of the month at 1:30 PM.
    • During Masses at selected times:
      1st  Sunday - 12 noon Mass
      2nd Sunday - 9 am Mass
      3rd Sunday - 10:30 am Mass
All our celebrations of baptism are preceded by Baptismal Preparation classes for the parents. For more information please call the Baptismal Coordinator at 229-1595. Would you like to know more? See our FAQs page (frequently asked questions)

    Marriage
The celebration of sacramental Marriage is an important and memorable occasion in the life of our parishioners - and the beautiful environment of our church only enhances the celebration.  While we give priority  in scheduling and pre-marriage preparation to our registered parishioners, people frequently ask if Catholics who are not parishioners are able to celebrate their wedding here at Sacred Heart.   Yes, they can.  All wedding celebrations here at Sacred Heart should be planned a minimum of 9 months in advance and require participation in the Marriage Preparation process.  All inquiries regarding Marriage celebration should be directed to the Wedding Coordinator at 229-1595. See our Marriage Preparation pages for more information. Looking for information on the Pre-Cana program? Click here.

Children's First Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and Confirmation
Sacred Heart Catholic Community has an active program for the development and deepening of our children’s faith. We offer an on-going program for children as part of life-long faith formation. This is the Children’s Faith Formation Program (also called CCD). In addition, there are Sacramental Preparation programs for children preparing for their first reception of the sacraments of Reconciliation and Eucharist (Holy Communion) – as well as for youths preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

    Adult Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation
These sacraments for adults are part of the RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults). RICA is the ministry of God's welcoming embrace symbolized by the Church's acceptance of new members of the family of Catholic Christians. RCIA is a journey of faith that not-yet baptized persons as well as baptized persons complete with the help of a sponsor, the catechists, the discernment team, and, above all, on the strength of their own conviction. The only requirements for joining are a heart open to on-going conversion, a desire to explore a Catholic Christian idenity, and become community.

As an adult, if you have already received the Sacraments of Baptism and Frist Eucharist, but you have yet to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation, we have two programs a year (Spring and Fall) to prepare adult candidates for the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Sacrament of Healing for the Sick:
For anointing of sick or infirmed members of the parish, those anticipating surgery, or those recovering from surgery or illness, please call the Parish Office (229-1595) to arrange for a visit from a priest.

    Emergencies:
On weekends and in the evening, call the Parish Office (229-1595) and listen for the Emergency Telephone number.  Please limit the use of this phone for serious accident, illness, death or things that require an emergency pastoral response.
