    Student Appearance

Students will be expected to keep themselves well groomed and neatly dressed in full school uniform at all times. Students should remember that they represent their school to the community. On the occasional free dress day and all school functions – including dances – all attire should be modest and appropriate for students. Any form of dress or hairstyle that is considered and contrary to good hygiene or that is distractive or disruptive in appearance and detrimental to the purpose or conduct of the school will not be permitted.

The standards for free dress days will be as follows:

    • All students will be fully clothed, clean and well groomed.
    • All students will wear closed shoes – no sandals or backless shoes. Heels are not to exceed 1½ inch.
    • Bare backs, bare midriffs, bare shoulders and low cut necklines are not permitted.
    • Students are not permitted to wear see-through clothing or wear underclothing as an outer garment.
    • Students may not wear clothing that advertises alcoholic beverages or tobacco, or displays inappropriate words, designs or comments.
    • The purpose of our dress code is to promote Christian modesty. Overly tight garments or excessively short skirts, shorts and dresses will not be permitted, at the discretion of the administration.

    Dress Code

The school dress code is in effect during the school day. The school reserves the right to determine whether a student’s dress and appearance satisfy the school’s policy. Any student (EC – 8) found to be in violation of the dress code would be required to change the article of clothing. The first offense would result in a note in the student’s planner. Subsequent violations will result in a discipline warning.
