  • GUIDANCE COUNSELING

The Guidance Program is an integral part of the total school program and contributes actively to the mission and goals of Sacred Heart Academy. Using a developmental approach, Sacred Heart Academy’s Guidance Program was designed to assist students in assuming responsibility for their own actions and choices as well as experiencing growth in their educational, career and personal-social environments. The long-range goal is to help students develop to their optimum potential. Inherent to this goal is the total involvement of school personnel, parents and community. A guidance counselor is available every day during school hours and guidance services are available for every student in the school. Students who want to visit the counselor should use the guidance request form to arrange for an appointment. If there is a need to see the counselor more than twice, parents will be asked to sign a consent form. A teacher may refer a student to the counselor by using the Guidance Referral form. Parents are always welcome to call or to make an appointment to visit. Parent request forms are available in the office.
