Drop-Off Procedure

Children in grades K – 8 are to be dropped off in front of the auditorium beginning at 7:30 A.M. Please do not park in the front driveway for any reason. Parents with children in the Early Childhood Program or parents who need to come into the building should park in the parking lot on the north side of the gym and enter through the front of the building.

Dismissal Procedure

Dismissal takes place for all students at 2:55 P.M. Kindergarten – 8th grade students will be dismissed to the pick-up area or to Angel Care Extended Day Program. Early Childhood students (3 & 4-year olds) are to be signed out of the classroom by a parent/pick-up person. Parents/pick-up persons will not be permitted to congregate in the foyer, office, hallways outside classrooms, or the Media Center before dismissal. This interferes with the learning environment, dismissal procedures and safety in the event of an emergency evacuation. Faculty members are on duty for the safety of the students; therefore, this is not an appropriate time for a conference with your child’s teacher. All students in grades EC 3 – 8 who have not been picked up by 3:10 P.M. will automatically be placed in Angel Care, and parents will be charged the drop-in rate of $10.00 per day per child. This policy will be strictly enforced.

Pick-Up Procedure

Please pull up to the front of the pick-up lane and your child(ren) will be brought to your car.

Area 1: Pick-up area for grades K – 5 is in front of the main school building

Area 2: Pick-up area for grades 6 – 8 is the driveway area between the convent building and the main school building.

Area 3: Parents of Early Childhood students must park in the parking lot and sign out the students from the classroom.

IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN THE PARENT IS PICKING UP THE CHILD, PLEASE MAKE THAT PERSON AWARE OF THE PICK-UP PROCEDURE.

Rainy Day Dismissal

All students in grades K – 8 will be dismissed from the auditorium during a rainy day dismissal. Please use the driveway in front of the library so that your child may come to the car from the covered walkway outside the auditorium. Teachers on duty will bring the students out to the cars. If you prefer to sign out your child a little earlier than usual on a rainy day to avoid heavy traffic, you are welcome to do so; be sure to park in the lot behind the gym. Early Childhood dismissal procedure remains unchanged during rainy days.

Traffic

In order to secure the safety of each student, we request that the driver stay in the vehicle and let the teachers assist the child/ren. Please park in the lot behind the gym if you are loading/unloading a project or supplies from the trunk of your car. Parents should follow the directives of faculty during the drop-off in the mornings and pick-up at dismissal time.
