CONFERENCES

At no time should a parent/guardian be in doubt about his/her child’s progress. Parents/guardians are notified of the child’s progress through the student planner, progress reports and report cards. These should be reviewed by parents/guardians and then signed and returned to the homeroom teacher immediately. Teachers are available for appointments from 7:30 A.M. to 7:50 A.M., from 3:00 P.M. to 3:30 P.M. and during their planning periods.

Parents/guardians wanting an appointment with a teacher or the counselor should send a note or call the school office to schedule an appointment. Please do not call or visit teachers/counselor at home. Some teachers do provide parents with their home phone numbers or personal e-mail addresses in their letters at the beginning of the school year, but the school office does not give out that information about the faculty. Please do not expect an immediate return phone call or e-mail reply, since the teachers/ counselor are busy during the school day with the students. Students who wish to do so may request a conference with a teacher before or after school or at a time convenient to both during the day.
