    Teacher Bio

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Christina Mendoza-Hernandez and I teach Kindergarten at Sacred Heart Academy. I have been at Sacred Heart Academy for 13 years and it just keeps on getting better! I have taught 9 yrs in early childhood and 4 years in Kindergarten. I also teach at Learey Technical Center Early Childhood class to bilingual adult students. In being a Tampa native, I attended Saint Joseph Catholic School for K-8 and for high school I attended Thomas Jefferson High. I have a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Saint Leo University in K-6 Elementary Education and also in Instructional Ed Leadership as well as ESOL and Gifted certification. Under my belt I have 14 years of experience teaching grades EC3, EC4, K, gifted and ESOL students. I feel so lucky to have God and his presence in my daily life as I did growing up. The best part in teaching at a Catholic school is to have the opportunity to share this experience with your students and families and realizing what wonderful gifts God has upon us daily. If you are ever in the area please stop by and visit us, I just love visitors. You won’t regret it!

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call me at Sacred Heart academy (813) 229-0618 or email me at: chernandez@sacredheartfla.org.
