Dear Parents, Students, and Staff,
I hope everyone is having a great summer. I would like to thank you for your support in the previous years and welcome new students and families who will be joining the Sacred Heart Family. I have really enjoyed cooking for you all and look forward to serving you for another great school year. As usual I want to improve the quality of the meals and service, so please if you have any ideas or suggestions, feel free to contact me anytime on my cell (813) 714-9559 or at my SHA office (813) 229-0618 ext. 229.
Attached to this letter you will find special events that I will participate in. From our monthly “Eat with your child” to our “Talent Show 2008” (SHA’s Got Talent) please review and mark your calendars.
This year I will be in contact with Mrs. Cindy Sivula on a monthly basis. She will update my information on the school website where you will find the following information: monthly menus, special events schedule, lunch ticket breakdown, and other details regarding the cafeteria.
Eventually the cafeteria will have Internet access, and you will be able to purchase lunch tickets online. Until then you may send your payments into the office like in the past. Please make the checks payable to Luigi’s Catering.
In addition to the regular hot lunch this year I will also serve the following menu choices everyday:
These special items are to be ordered by 8:30 AM with the lunch count I receive from your teacher. If you arrive late and you want to order hot lunch from the cafeteria, you will get the regular daily lunch.
Every teacher will have the lunch order forms for your convenience. I will only accept those forms with the lunch count. Every other piece of paper will be discarded and the students will receive only the regular daily lunch. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact me anytime.
Unless you are pre-approved by Luigi, the maximum number of tickets you can charge will be 10 tickets or $ 35.00. I will not be responsible to serve lunch to your child if the amount due to Luigi’s Catering is more than $35.00. There will be no exceptions as this policy is to be used only in emergencies. If you have a problem, a concern or questions you need to contact me immediately so we can work out the matter.
“Eat Lunch with Your Child Day” will continue to be a Sacred Heart tradition. If you plan on attending and eating a meal from the cafeteria let the teacher know in advance so you will be added to the daily count. Those days are already planned and on the calendar for your convenience.
The computerized ticket system has worked really well this year. I will send you a reminder if your account balance is $7.00 or less. If you ever need a printed form of transactions, please let me know and I will send it the next day.
The lunch schedule is as follows:
11:00 am- Grades 3, 4, and 5
11:30 am- EC-3, EC -4, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades
12:00 pm- Grades 6, 7, and 8
Luigi will prepare the food for several special events and, as usual, we will need volunteers. Your time and assistance can be counted towards your parent hours. Your help in any capacity will be greatly appreciated and will help keep the costs down.
